Jesus said the old commandment was “Love your neighbour as
yourself”. But now He had a new one: “Love your enemy as I have loved
you”. Bible critics like to point out
that the first one is found in variety of religions, is just common sense. But
you never hear them talking about the new one, for some reason. Love your
neighbour? - sure ok, but they go ahead spew scorn and division against those of a
different opinion.
But transforming enemies into friends with
self-sacrificial love: now that’s
